Gareth Emery is one of the most influential DJs and producers in the electronic music industry and has a huge love for lasers. He is well known for his innovative and breathtaking live shows, which feature spectacular visual effects using laser projectors. One of his most popular tours Laserface was a huge success, being known as “The World’s Greatest Laser Show”. As a result of the success, Emery announced in 2022 Laserface’s successor: LSR/City V2.
To incorporate these laser projectors into the new show, Emery turned to Adam Labay from Precision Lasers to design the stunning visual experience for LSR/City V2. Labay is a world-renowned laser programmer who specializes in laser effects for TV, film, and live events. You can see his work for artists like Jennifer Lopez, Childish Gambino, and most recently, Metallica’s new music video for "Lux Æterna".
For LSR/City V2, Labay used his expertise to create custom laser effects that were perfectly synchronized with Emery’s music, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience for the audience. To create this experience, Adam Labay used high-powered, audience scanning KVANT laser projectors for LSR/City. All lasers were integrated with Pangolin FB4 and controlled using Pangolin’s Multimedia Laser Control Software BEYOND. To further make the performers stand out, Labay had two lasers set up to point down on the stage, surrounding the artists. This setup allowed them to program the lasers to create a spectacular, yet safe, audience scanning laser show.
The incorporation of KVANT laser projectors and laser programming by Adam Labay into Gareth Emery’s LSR/City Tour was a true testament to the power of technology. The stunning visual display created by the laser projectors and Labay’s programming added a new dimension to the music, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience for the audience.
